So, while Miles and I were driving the overloaded U-haul truck from TC to Monroe, it was getting late and I required coffee. The only option in Grayling was ... Mc Donald's. I scanned the overhead menu and saw coffee, med. $1.40. ugh! Then I spotted, way over on the left, the earthy brown Mc Cafe menu. Here they featured Premium Roast Coffee, Hmm. Cost, med. $1.40 ...huh? So I went for it, "One medium Premium Roast Coffee, please!" The perky 16-year old cheerleader behind the counter giggled, "It always makes me laugh when people say that," as she poured a cup from the only stainless steel carafe in sight into my earthy brown Mc Cafe paper cup. She dutifully dispensed cream from a machine by pushing a button featuring a large black "2." The equally enthusiastic manager was overseeing the operation and seemed genuinely puzzled when I suggested that "Premium Roast" would suggest that there was actually an option that in some measure was better than the regular. Undeterred, he responded that in his training he had learned that the coffee was really pretty good and that, "it came all the way from," ... he struggled, then smiled, ... "Arabica."

I missed Donut Club on June 28th which happened also to be my 55th birthday...what a disappointment! Will you have another Donut Club? Will you teach how to make Beignets?
